Wedding & Baby Favor Ordering Guide

Wedding & Baby Favor Ordering Guide

Planning favors for a wedding, baby shower, or milestone event? This guide walks you through every step โ€” from choosing the right quantity to placing your order with confidence.

1. How Many Favors Do You Need?

The right count depends on how you plan to distribute them.

  • Per guest (most common): One favor per attendee. Best for place-setting or seated-dinner displays.
  • Per couple / household: One favor per family unit. Common for cocktail receptions and casual showers.
  • Display / take-one table: Order roughly 70โ€“80% of your headcount; not every guest will take one.

Tip: Add a 10โ€“15 unit buffer for last-minute RSVPs, wedding-party gifts, and keepsakes for the couple or new parents.

โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT APPROVAL REQUIRED: Confirm whether a minimum order quantity applies โ€” e.g., "Minimum order is 12 units per style." Insert or remove this line before publishing.]

2. Personalization Options

โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT APPROVAL REQUIRED: List the personalization options you offer โ€” e.g., custom labels, ribbon colors, scent selection, name/date printing โ€” and any per-unit or setup fees. If personalization is not available, remove this section.]

To request personalization, include your preferences in the inquiry checklist at the bottom of this page.

3. Ordering a Sample

We strongly recommend a sample before committing to a large quantity, especially for scented or personalized products.

โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT APPROVAL REQUIRED: Confirm sample availability, cost, and whether the cost credits toward a bulk order โ€” e.g., "Samples are $X each. Cost credited toward orders of 25+ units."]

4. Production Lead Time

All favors are handcrafted in small batches and require production time before shipping.

โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT APPROVAL REQUIRED: Insert your current lead time โ€” e.g., "Standard orders: 5โ€“7 business days. Personalized orders: 10โ€“14 business days." Note any rush options and fees, and peak-season extensions (e.g., Mayโ€“June and Octoberโ€“November).]

5. Shipping Buffer

Add shipping transit time to your production lead time to calculate your earliest arrival date.

  • Standard shipping: โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT: Insert transit time โ€” e.g., "3โ€“5 business days."]
  • Expedited options: โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT: Note if express shipping is available and cost.]

Tip: Plan to have favors in hand at least 1โ€“2 weeks before your event for assembly and any last-minute packaging.

6. Event-Date Deadline Formula

Work backward from your event date:

Event Date โˆ’ Transit Days โˆ’ Production Days โˆ’ 7-Day Buffer = Latest Safe Order Date

Example: Event on November 15 โ†’ subtract 5 days shipping + 10 days production + 7 days buffer = order by October 24.

โš ๏ธ [MERCHANT APPROVAL REQUIRED: If you offer a date guarantee or rush service, describe it here. Otherwise, note that timelines are estimates and not guaranteed.]
